At some point in our lives we will have to deal with losing someone we love - either through death or the end of a relationship. It can be painful, overwhelming and can affect you in many different ways. Many of our peer counselors have experienced loss in their lives, and understand how to gain strength from moving through grief. Some of us used empathy and counseling for support, and others have used techniques like art or journaling to work through their sadness and grief.
Talking to a peer counselor about the feelings you are experiencing around loss can give you a new and helpful perspective. Our peer counselors are selected because they have exceptional empathy and emotional intelligence - which means they can relate to you and your situation very quickly and easily. The grieving process is deeply personal and so it is important that when you are looking for support you are able to reach out to someone who will let you work through your feelings at your own speed, giving you space and time to be supported as and when you need it. Our peer counselors are here to help you so that you don’t have to go through this alone.
